Toshiba launches WiMax Notebooks

This week Toshiba update their notebook line. Users can now choose who need a notebook with an integrated WiMax feature on the Qosmio X500 notebook series.

In addition to supporting WiMAX, the notebook also supports the activities of gaming with Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics that support DirectX 11 and graphics memory at 1.5 GB.

"We are working to bring WiMAX-featured laptop more on our product range," said Carl Pinto, vice president of Toshiba's Product Development, as quoted from PCWorld, 24 September 2010.

Pinto said the current mobile internet connectivity is increasingly important available to support productivity and digital entertainment, and WiMax is one of the connectivity that began to bloom.

In the Qosmio X500, Toshiba also complete with Dolby Home Theater certified speakers, 18.4 inch screen supports full HD resolution, and Blu-ray drive if users need. As a result, the price of this notebook to be quite high, ranging from U.S. $ 1299.99 depending on the chosen specification.

In addition to the Qosmio X500, Toshiba also provides several other notebook models that use chips such as 4G WiMax Satellite A665, M645, E205, and the Portege R705 is more affordable and sold at prices ranging from U.S. $ 759.99.

All WiMax notebook will be present in the United States market from 26 September.
